IHC allows correspondence with PTI founder through video conference

Islamabad: PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat confirmed the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has allowed online interactions with Imran Khan.

Marwat praised the court’s “excellent development” in allowing video conferences for those who are incarcerated. He said the judge noted that this decision solves the issue of “security threats” during in-person meetings.

On Tuesday, Punjab Home Department banned meetings with the PTI founder in Adiala Jail for two weeks, citing security threats.

The department also imposed ban on media coverage, directing the media teams to stay away for 2km far from Adiala jail.

It is to be noted that Tuesday and Thursday were reserved by Adiala Jail administration for the meetings with the PTI founder on the orders of the court.
