At least 20 killed as Israeli forces launch fresh strike on Gaza

Gaza: At least 20 people were killed in overnight Israeli attacks on residential buildings in Rafah city.

At least 10 Palestinians were killed and 40 others wounded in an Israeli strike on the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, a spokesperson for the health ministry in the Hamas-controlled enclave told a foreign news agency.

Additionally, at least 10 Palestinians were killed and 40 others wounded in an Israeli strike on the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza on Tuesday, a spokesperson for the health ministry in the enclave said.

The Health Ministry in Gaza says it is “surprised” at what it called the “silence” of the international community amid the ongoing attacks by Israeli forces in the north.

Spokesperson Ashraf al-Qudra said “massacres” in the area were taking place in the absence of health services due to the “destruction of hospitals” by the Israeli army.

“It means the Israeli occupation insists on the genocide of the population,” he added.

Israel’s attacks have persisted throughout the Gaza Strip, especially in the vicinity of hospitals and in the southern part of the besieged enclave, where ground operations are stepping up, Al Jazeera reported.

Additionally, at least 55,651 Palestinians have been injured, Al Jazeera reported.

Meanwhile, 1,139 people have been killed in Israel since October 7 while 8,730 have been injured, according to Al Jazeera citing the Israeli army.

Israeli officials revised the death toll from 1,405 to “around 1,200”.
