Islamabad: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar on Monday once again skipped court summons in the case pertaining to missing Baloch students.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani took up the plea and he expressed displeasure over the absence of Kakar, saying coming to court shouldn’t be considered an insult.

“No one is above the law,” the judge remarked and added that the premier was summoned because he was “accountable”.

A day earlier, the court issued a four-page written order summoning PM Kakar, defence and interior ministers along with the secretaries of the ministries concerned. Top officials were told to ensure their physical appearance in today's hearing at 10am.

In the previous hearing on February 13, the court had directed the interim premier to appear before the bench.

The court orders came before its bench adjourned today's hearing till February 28.
