International Rahmatul-Lil-Alameen (PBUH) Conference begins

Islamabad (Staff Report/agencies): A two-day International Rahmatul-Lil-Alameen (Peace Be Upon Him) Conference begins in Islamabad on Tuesday (today) under the auspices of Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.

According to Senator Faisal Javed Khan, Prime minister Imran Khan will address the inaugural session of the conference in the morning.

“2 Days Intl #RahmatulLilAlameen (S.A.W) conference will start from tomorrow in Islamabad. Prime Minister Imran Khan will address the inaugural session tomorrow morning inshALLAH #RabiulAwal #IntlConfPakistan,” Faisal said in a Tweet.

The conference has been organised in connection with the countrywide celebration of 12th Rabiul Awwal, marking the birthday of Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

The conference will highlight the soft image of Islam and the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), and reward the authors of the books and research papers written on the life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

Over 2,500 people from all walks of life, including parliamentarians, ambassadors, ulema, scholars, students of religious seminaries, universities, deans of universities and representatives of chambers of commerce and industry will attend the moot.

Religious scholars from Egypt, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates have already confirmed their participation in the conference.

Prizes would be awarded to 21 authors for writing books on Seerat and Na’at and to 32 scholars for writing research papers on Seerat. A total of 53 authors will be awarded prizes in nine categories of Seerat and Naat.

This year, a total of 65 books and 81 Seerat research papers were received for participation in the competition.
