SC to hear Imran Khan's disqualification plea on Monday

Islamabad (Staff Report): Date for hearing a petition, seeking disqualification of Prime Minister Imran Khan has been fixed in Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan.

A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar will start hearing the case on September 24.

The bench is comprised of CJP Mian Saqib Nisar, Justice Umar Atta Bandial and Justice Ejaz Ul Ahsan.

The petition has been filed against PM Imran Khan by Barrister Daniyal Chaudhry.

The petitioner maintained the stance that PM Imran Khan has concealed facts in his nomination papers and he does not fulfill articles 62 and 63 of the constitution, therefore, he should be disqualified from holding any public office.
