Security forces kill terrorist in South Waziristan fire exchange: ISPR

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): The security forces killed an active terrorist during an exchange of fire the wee hours of Wednesday in the general area Ladha, South Waziristan District, the military's media wing said.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army troops effectively engaged the terrorists and resultantly one of them was sent to hell.

The statement added that weapon and ammunition was also recovered from the killed terrorist, who remained actively involved in various terrorist activities in the area.

"Sanitization of the area was being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists in the area," the ISPR said.

On Tuesday, at least four terrorists were killed and six soldiers embraced martyrdom in an exchange of fire in South Waziristan district.

The military's media wing said that, on 22 August 2023, fire exchange took place between own troops and terrorists in general area Asman Manza, South Waziristan District.

"Armed forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve," the ISPR said.
