Lahore (Staff Report): At least three labourers were killed while two others were injured on Saturday as cosmopolitan Club roof collapsed inside Lawrence Garden.
Police reported that the roof collapsed when labourers were busy in repairing the kitchen. As a result of collapse five workers were trapped under the debris.
Rescue teams and concerned police reached the spot immediately and started rescue operation.
The workers were successfully pull out from debris and shifted them to Services Hospital where three of them were declared dead and the injured were being given treatment, police said.
One dead person has been identified as Liaqat while the identification of two others is yet to be ascertained. Further investigations of the incident are underway.
