Rawalpindi (Staff Report): Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor said on Wednesday that Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa will meet the families of martyrs and ghazis on Pakistan’s Defence Day.
Addressing a conference regarding the Defence and Martyrs Day, ISPR chief said that the main ceremony would be held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) on September 6 in the daytime instead of evening.
He stated the programme to visit the home of every martyr was initiated last year and would be continued as the response was very good.
Pak Army’ media wing DG urged the people to display pictures of the martyrs in streets and residential areas, and express gratitude by visiting their families.
