Clean and green Pakistan is our vision, says PM Imran

Naran (Web Desk): Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday clean and green Pakistan is our vision and the government is taking bold steps for climate protection to secure our future.

Addressing a gathering of Tiger Force volunteers in Naran on Monday, the premier said that promotion of tourism is a challenge for the government and huge amount is being spent on environmental projects in the country.

He said that the 'Ten Billion Tree Tsunami' initiative would change the environment whereas improved tourism would generate jobs and ensure prosperity in the country.

PM Imran said that illegal forest cutting will not be tolerated as Kaghan valley has much attractiveness, which is not available anywhere in the world.

Earlier, prime minister arrived in Naran on a day-long trip to launch several tourism and environmental protection projects.

The projects, which the premier inaugurated, included launch of emergency response service for tourists, tree plantation along the bank of Kunhar River besides breeding of Trout fish, distribution of 550,000 biodegradable bags, setting up a waste collection system and delivery of motorbikes to Community River Rangers.
