Islamabad (Staff Report): Name of Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqar is on top of the list for the position of the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) chairman.
According to sources, Justice Baqar’s name was acknowledged during the meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
Justice Baqar, who retired from his post on April 4, is considered to be an independent judge. He was amongst those judges who gave a judgment in favour of Justice Qazi Faez Isa’s case regarding undocumented assets.
