'COVID-19 vaccine registration for 30-39 age group to start from Sunday'

Islamabad (Web Desk): Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar has announced that COVID-19 vaccine registration for aged 30 will be started from Sunday, May 16.

Umar, who is also chief of National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), said the government had decided to open registrations for another age group as the vaccine supply in Pakistan continues to improve and the country's vaccination capacity gets enhanced day by day.

“As vaccine supply continues to improve and vaccination capacity gets enhanced in all Federating units, we continue to expand the categories of those who are eligible to get vaccinated,” the minister in a tweet and added, “Starting sunday the 16th of May, registration will be open to all 30 years and older citizens.”

Earlier, the minister had announced that walk-in vaccination facility for people above 40-years-old will be opened from May 12 onwards.
