Islamia College lecturer arrested on suspicion of selling drugs to students

Peshawar (Staff Report): A lecturer of Islamia College Peshawar arrested on suspicion of selling drugs to the students.

According to police, Bashir Ahmad, a lecturer in the English department, was arrested from Regi Model Town. A total of 20 grammes of ‘ice’ and 150 grammes of ‘hashish’ were recovered from the lecturer, police added.

Initial investigations suggest the teacher was supplying drugs in the varsity.

According to webmd.com, ‘ice’ is the street name for the illegal drug methamphetamine – which mainly comes in the form of a white powder or crystals. It can be swallowed, snorted, injected, or as is becoming more common, smoked.
