CJP takes suo motu notice of Turbat killings

Turbat (Staff Report): Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar has taken a suo motu notice of the Turbat tragedy in which 20 bodies were recovered over a span of around four days.

The chief justice on Sunday sought detailed reports within three days from the director general of Federal Investigation Agency and the inspector general of Balochistan on the incident.

He also questioned the role the relevant authorities have decided to play in preventing such incidents.

Earlier, bodies of five Turbat killing victims sent from Karachi to their hometown.

The bodies were shifted to Jinnah International Airport and now will be received at the Lahore airport by the relatives of the deceased. They will take the bodies to native area for burial.

Five killed persons have been identified as Usman Qadir, Danish Ali, Badar Munir, Saqib Ali and Qasim. All belong from Gujrat Punjab.

On November 15, forces found 15 bodies from Buleda area of Turbat. The killed persons hailed from Punjab and were going to Europe via Iran through agents.
