Bilawal-Kuleba presser: Russia seeks explanation from Pakistan over journalist’s expulsion

Islamabad (Web Desk): the Russian Embassy in Islamabad sought an explanation from the Foreign Office, saying restriction on journalist’s right to access information is unacceptable.

The development comes after a Russian journalist was expelled from a joint presser held by Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

On Thursday, before the joint press conference, Kyiv had allegedly requested that no Russian journalists be present at the occasion.

However, unknowingly, one Russian reporter was present during the presser and was asked to leave the premises by the authorities.

Kuleba arrived in Pakistan on Thursday on a two-day official visit.

Delegation level talks between Pakistan and Ukraine held at Foreign Office in Islamabad.

Pakistani side led by Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari while the Ukrainian side by its Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

The two sides discussed cooperation in diverse fields.

On arrival at the Foreign Office, the visiting foreign minister was received by FM Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar and other high-ranking officials of the FO.
