Rawalpindi (Staff Report): Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor has praised the policeman who confronted the terrorists at the Chines consulate in Karachi.
“Pakistan Police Service has evolved through testing times. Their displayed professionalism in recent times as first responders is commendable. From preempting the terrorism attempts to foiling these at first checking point is the testimony. Salute to our police and its martyrs,” ISPR DG said in a tweet.

At least seven people ─ two policemen, two civilians and three terrorists ─ were killed in the attack targeting the embassy.
The exchange of fire started around 9.30am.
According to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) South Karachi Javed Alam Odho, at least three gunmen tried to enter the consulate but were intercepted by security guards at a checkpoint, Retaliatory firing resulted in martyrdom of two police officials, he added.
Three suspects were killed as forces successfully foiled the attack, Karachi Police Chief Dr Amir Shaikh said. "The men came to the consulate in a car which was loaded with explosives," Karachi police chief said.
One person has also been admitted to the hospital in critical condition, he added.
Suicide jackets and weapons were recovered from the possession of the terrorists.
All the staff inside the Chinese consulate is safe, security sources said.
