Lahore (Web Desk): DG Anti-Corruption Punjab Abdul Jabbar, CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana and DPO Jhang Sardar Ghias Gul Khan have been relieved of their duties “with immediate effect”.
According to a notification issued by the government of Punjab, Jabbar and Kamyana were asked to report to the Intelligence Bureau (IB), while Sardar Ghias was directed to report to the Cabinet Secretariat in Islamabad.
The move comes after Supreme Court on Tuesday struck down the Punjab Assembly deputy speaker’s ruling in CM election and President Dr Arif Alvi administered the oath of PTI-backed candidate Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi as the Punjab CM.
