Islamabad (Staff Report): Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar on Wednesday took suo motu notice of Nehal Hashmi's speech and summoned Hashmi on Thursday.
Earlier, Prime Minister suspended the party membership of Hashmi and directed him to tender his resignation from Senate.
The party authorities have also issued a show cause notice to the PML-N leader and have instructed him to step down from the party position of General Secretary PML-N Sindh.
Earlier, a video emerged of a Nehal Hashmi speech in which he threatened the prime minister’s unidentified ‘enemies’.
“Currently you are on service, but tomorrow you will retire and we will make your life miserable,” Hashmi said.
He initiated his address, saying: “To all those who are seeking Nawaz Sharif’s accountability, we will make your day of accountability. We are not going to spare you…”
Moreover he said, “You are Nawaz Sharif’s life difficult, Pakistani nation will let you go through the same ordeal…”
