PMD forecasts rain in various cities of country

Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), forecasts torrential rain in various cities of the country.

According to PMD more rain expected in Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Dera Ismail Khan, Sahiwal, Faisalabad Division, Hazara, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu and Malakand District, while weather remain hot and dry in rest of the cities.

PMD said that weather remained hot and dry in the country during last 24-hour, however it rained torrentially in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala and Kashmir.

As per reports, upto 56 millimeter rain recorded in Kakol, 31 in Murree, 29 in Kotli, 2 in Balakot, 3 in Gujrat and 2 in Sialkot.

Today, rain made havoc in Lahore; as a result 6 people lost their lives with electric shock, while social life suspended, as heavy rain inundated roads.
