Karachi (Staff Report): Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan on Monday reached Karachi on one-day visit to address the power shortage issue of the city.
According to details, in Karachi Abbasi is scheduled to chair a special meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Energy (CCoE) in order to get an applicable solution of the power crisis in Karachi.
PM Abbasi will also summon a detailed report from K-Electric which is the metropolis’ main power supplier and Water Sewage Board over the issue.
Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif will also attend the special meeting as he has already arrived in Karachi on Sunday.
Federal Minister Sardar Awais Khan Laghari, finance advisor Miftah Ismail, CEO of K-Electric Tayyab Tareen and MD of SSG Ameen Rajpoot will also attend the meeting.
Later, both Shehbaz and PM Abbasi will also attend a seminar on China Pakistan Economic Corridor in Karachi today.
